05.04.2019, Washington – On 5 April, Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani met with Under Secretary for Arms Control and International Security Andrea Thompson.
The sides discussed the issues on the agenda of Georgia-U.S. partnership. The U.S. side reaffirmed its firm support for Georgia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and Euro-Atlantic integration course.
High appraisal was given to the decisions made during the NATO Ministerial Meeting. Under the decisions, the Alliance develops Black Sea security co-operation with Georgia..
Discussions also focused on the security environment in the region and gross violations of human rights in Georgia's occupied territories. The Under Secretary condemned Russia's aggression against Georgia.
