A working meeting under the EU/UN joint project - Human Rights for All has been held in Kachreti, under the aegis of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
A working meeting under the joint project of the EU and the UN - Human Rights for All was held in Kachreti on 11 and 12 June 2019, under the aegis of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights(OHCHR) where representatives of the International Law Department of the MFA presented to the NGOs and the Public Defender’s Office the draft of the fifth Periodic report on how Georgia implements the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
The draft of the fifth Periodic report was prepared in coordination with the Foreign Ministry, through participation of various government agencies.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is interested in ensuring that the process of preparing all periodic reports is open and inclusive, therefore, the Ministry will further promote the active participation of the Public Defender’s Office and the civil sector, through co-operation and active consultations.
